Iris Corporation Bhd has signed a contract with Southeastasianet Technologies MSC Sdn Bhd (SEANET) to supply electronic passport (E-passport) labels, E-passport systems and autogates to Cambodia's Ministry of Interior. In a statement on January 17, Iris said it has been selected to be the end-to-end solutions provider for the project by SEANET, which was awarded a 15 year concession by the Cambodian government. It said the project was a comprehensive implementation combining Iris' E-passport labels laminated into conventional passports, the Iris' E-passport systems for enrolment, personalisation and issuance of E-passports, and Iris' autogates for automated border control. "With our technology, Cambodia will benefit from our extensive global experience in deploying national identity programmes and in particular, electronic passport projects. "Our success in securing this project reinforces Iris' position as a leader in the field of electronic identity programmes and further stregthen our presence in Asia," said Iris managing director Datuk Tan Say Jim
